September 8, 2009 - Yennie & Jones Aquires Verna Jenkins Insurance Agency in Holden, Missouri
Teri Potter of Yennie & Jones Insurance in Pleasant Hill, MO announced today that she has purchased the Verna Jenkins Insurance Agency effective September 1st, 2009. “I feel honored that Verna Jenkins chose me to continue caring for her client’s insurance protection needs” said Teri Potter. Julie Flaspohler, formerly of Verna Jenkins Insurance will be joining Yennie & Jones where she will continue to work with the former Jenkins clients.
“It was time for me to make this move in order to care for my mother full time: said Verna Jenkins. I chose Teri Potter and Yennie & Jones because I know that they will maintain the same high level of service that we have provided.” “I will work closely with Teri to assure a smooth transition,” Jenkins continued.

August 14, 2009 - Missouri Experiences 8 Earthquakes in 30 Days
Eight distinct micro earthquakes with epicenters in the Missouri portion of the New Madrid Seismic Zone have occurred in the past month. While geologists are divided as to the significance of the fault's activity, the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration has expressed concern that many Missouri homeowners who cannot obtain or afford earthquake insurance are vulnerable to financial devastation if a major earthquake should occur in the area.

April 27, 2009 - Ed Lust and Lori Jones Earn Coveted CIC Designation
The designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) has been conferred upon Ed Lust and Lori Jones, of the Yennie & Jones Insurance Agency in Pleasant Hill, MO, following their successful completion of a rigorous insurance education program sponsored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

June 23, 2008 - Ed Lust Appointed to MAIA Education Committee
Yennie & Jones Insurance Agency announced today that Ed Lust has been appointed to the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) Education Committee.
The Education Committee provides professional development opportunities for members to assist them in acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills so they may provide the highest possible level of service to the insurance consumer. The Committee also monitors continuing education requirements; oversees the operation of professional designation programs adopted or endorsed by MAIA; and makes recommendations to other committees regarding educational programming offered in conjunction with the association’s annual convention and events.

May 5, 2008 - Ed Lust Attends CIC Agency Management Institute
Ed Lust, of the Yennie & Jones Insurance Agency has successfully completed the Certified Insurance Counselors Agency Management Institute held in Springfield, Missouri on April 23-26, 2008 . The Agency Management course was one of the five parts offered by the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents. After successful completion of five courses covering all major areas of the insurance field, and five rigorous examinations, Ed will be awarded the CIC designation by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the nation's foremost provider of professional insurance and education. To date, Ed has completed four, of the five curriculum required.
